Antonio Murgia was born in 1956 in Sardinia, Italy.

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan but left the educational system before graduating. He worked for a time for an Italian television channel and directed the production of several films in the late 1980s.

A musician and painter for over 25 years, he currently lives and works between northern Italy and Sardinia. For the past ten years, Antonio Murgia has been creating large-scale portraits that come straight from his imagination. Combined with the use of vibrant colors and large-format canvases, he succeeds in creating a visual impact that leaves the viewer far from indifferent.
