Nimrod MESSEG
Nimrod began his artistic career at a very young age, sculpting in his father's workshop. After traveling the world for many years, he finally settled in Marbella, Spain, in 1999, where he opened his own studio-gallery. It was there that he began to develop his personal and direct method of sculpture. Even today, his unique sculptures are highly sought after by leading international galleries.
His art consists exclusively of working with wrought iron. He creates unique sculptures from over a thousand pieces of metal. He uses time-honored forging techniques, such as welding, mechanical hammering, and plasma cutting, to create textures, effects, and forms that give his sculptures a truly singular style and appearance.
These working methods allow for a complete transformation of raw, base metal into something beautiful, soft, light, and full of curves… even supple.
The evolution of Nimrod's work is characterized by a wide variety of forms, ranging from organic and natural shapes to delicate or muscular animals and expressive faces. However, it is in the creation of his graceful, sensual, majestic, and often ethereal female torsos, which have garnered immense popularity, that one finds a constant focus and passion.
