Alexandros GEORGIOU

Alexandros Georgiou (b. 1986, Athens) is a contemporary sculptor internationally recognized for his monumental tree forms and organic architectural compositions. Raised in a family of craftsmen, he developed from an early age a deep understanding of structure, balance, and material transformation within his father’s glass workshop. This environment shaped his relationship with metal and light, forming the foundation of his artistic path. He studied Business Administration in Athens before fully dedicating himself to sculpture. His artistic education includes studies in silversmithing and metallurgy, establishing a solid technical foundation in metalwork and sculptural form. He further refined his practice abroad, training under established master metal artisans  and  gradually  developing  a
distinctive sculptural identity. The sculptural trees of Alexandros Georgiou stand as powerful expressions of contemporary Greek sculpture, uniting monumental presence with masterful handcrafted precision.
Forged in metal and executed with exceptional technical discipline, each work transcends mere form to become an architectural presence within its environment. The olive tree an eternal symbol of life, rootedness, and continuity is reinterpreted through a contemporary sculptural language, acquiring structural clarity and spatial authority.

Every sculpture is meticulously handcrafted through a demanding process and produced in strictly limited numbers, enhancing its rarity and collectible value. The metal surfaces, whether finished in natural patina or refined gold plating, create a compelling dialogue between light and shadow, movement and stillness imbuing each piece with depth, luminosity, and timeless character.
Georgiou’s works are conceived for discerning collectors and visionary architects seeking museum-quality statement pieces for private estates, luxury hospitality environments, and architecturally significant spaces defined by identity and sophistication. His works have been exhibited across Europe and Asia and are held in private collections internationally. He lives and works in Greece.
