Born in Montbéliard in 1968, Christof Monnin is a self-taught painter. He exhibited for the first time at the age of 17 and won his first prize. A fan of very luminous painting, imbued with movement and delicacy, he offers us a work borrowed from warm colors from deep red to golden yellow blending with lively softness. Working the majority of his canvases using the knife method, he gives his forms prominent lines, sometimes violent, sometimes subtle. These techniques of which he is a master give his works an exceptional realism. The wind of virtuosity comes to caress his canvases like a rose that offers the scents of sensuality to love. Monnin, a true perfectionist at heart, never stops seeking to develop his art, to evolve his painting and with them our emotions. His in-depth work transcends the beings who are in front of his work.
