JERLEF
Jerlef is a complete artist. A hard worker, meticulous in each creation, he knows how to highlight every detail. He has been passionate about art since a young age. He grew up with influences from Andy Warhol and 80s comics, which are now reflected in his work. However, despite his will, he cannot pursue his passion. He then abandons this field to earn a living. The year 2000 opens his eyes. He will be an artist for the rest of his life! He searches for his support and discovers aluminum. His works are fixed in the unalterable metal as if he himself had always had it within him. His acrylic work is pure and unique. You are not dreaming, it transports you to your deepest emotions.

I was born on August 9, 1977, in Geneva.
Passionate about travel and adventure, I have never left my native region, except for various journeys around the world.
My fascination with art led me to work for nearly 10 years in art publishing.
It wasn't until the 2000s that I discovered drawing, with a particular interest in animals. I also create portraits of icons and views of New York, always using the same technique and materials.
Most often working in acrylic on aluminum, I also create some works on canvas.
Picasso said: "A painting only lives through the viewer."
In my animal portraits, I wanted to challenge this by making the painting the one that brings you to life through its eyes. When a painting is well done, it will convey a different energy depending on the mood
of the moment, the personality, and the individual's experience.
This is especially true with aluminum, which will reflect light differently at each moment of the day and thus enhance its appearance in a different way.
