Gé PELLINI

A believer in the principle "less is more," Gé Pellini continually educates and refines his artistic approach. His variations on the theme of the horned animal inform his current research and projects.

The Nancy-based sculptor is not only an animal artist and naturalist, but also an analyst who represents the quintessence of his subjects. A perfectionist and passionate artist, he sculpts the most beautiful marbles, heavy and uncomfortable mediums to work with. Gé. Pellini absolutely rejects complexity. "Technique must give way to artistry," "to put it simply, you have to be fair," the sculptor emphasizes.

These aphorisms perfectly reflect all of his work. This simplicity should be considered a direct, aesthetic, and deliberate movement toward the essential, which is also reflected in his temperament. Deeply rooted in his time, the artist captivates with his omnipresent naturalness.

This renunciation of the evidence of realism, his timeless conceptions close to abstraction and yet very figurative, set him apart.
