Marie Ange Daude
MAD
Marie Ange is a visual artist born in 1964 in Limoges, and a portraitist.
Through her portraits, she expresses her desire for aesthetics and femininity, as well as her penchant for melancholy and nostalgia. Her faces are powerful and express a rare emotion.
In the "Suspended Feathers" series, the chosen material, feathers, heightens emotions, particularly feminine fragility and softness. The portrait's transparency and evanescent quality are conveyed by the concept of the work: the feathers are attached to almost invisible nylon threads, allowing the portrait to lift off the support and appear to levitate. The absence of color reinforces the emotion and emphasizes nostalgia. The texture and fluffiness of the feathers add a touch of softness and blur to the overall effect.
“Between chaos and rebirth, his works reflect our environment, and perhaps even ourselves…”

The "Fossil" series, created from the incrustation of materials (charcoal, oyster shells, plastic waste, etc.), aims to preserve the original forms of beauty for millennia.
The "LOST" series pays homage to the disappearance of Native Americans.
The "Disenchanted" series, using walnut stain on old sheets, aims to convey a certain vision of adolescence, its hopes, its futile struggles, its disillusionment in the face of a world it does not understand.
The To EGON series pays homage to Egon Schiele
