Philippe BRUSINI

the busts of philippe brusini are all

Born in Italy in the 1960s, Philippe Brusini, a metalwork artist, has always been strongly influenced by the "Arte Povera" artist collective. His work focuses primarily on the effects of oxidized and patinated metals.

He explores the blues and grays of steel, the verdigris of bronze, the iridescent pinks of copper, and more, but also, more surprisingly, the assemblage of materials as surprising as barbed wire, industrial washers, mechanical elements, and many others.

His works, always the same, created from the same mold, are, upon closer inspection, always different: "What changes are the materials," he says.

In his early days, Brusini feared criticism and the way others viewed his work: "You're never satisfied with what you do. You tell yourself you can improve this or that." "This is no longer the case today, where he proudly exhibits his numerous works internationally: "There comes a time when you have to stop working on the piece and exhibit it."
