TP HARDISTY

TP Hardisty was born in England in 1953, in Carlisle, Cumbria.
In the late 1970s, he graduated from Carlisle College of Art with honors; his work was recognized with the Student of the Year award. He then earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Central School of Art in London.
At that time, he was already selected to participate in the "New Contemporaries" exhibition. With his baccalaureate approaching, TP Hardisty changed direction: he turned to the business world, where he would ultimately work for over 35 years, developing successful businesses in New York and the United Kingdom. Throughout the years, his true passion for art never left him, finally finding expression in 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland, through an exhibition of his works. Since then, he has exhibited continuously; in London, Paris, New York, and Miami. His works were acclaimed at these exhibitions, and TP Hardisty gained notoriety.
TP Hardisty's work is infinitely more complex than what we first see. Behind the simplicity of the masked duck or through the representation of the passage from this world to the next, nothing is immediately apparent. From rubber ducks to car reflectors, from condom boxes to brightly colored pens, these objects offer us a glimpse into TP Hardisty's artistic world, full of subtleties, reflections, and movements that were not revealed at first glance. In most of his works the artist is completely restricted by the technique he has chosen to use, remaining faithful to his dogma of not wanting to alter, cut or modify the shape or color of the medium, using it in its original form, as it was manufactured. Even TP Hardisty's photograph is as it is, unretouched, unprocessed on a computer. The image remains exactly as it was at the moment the camera was triggered.
