The artist creates his works entirely in his vast studio. The sculptures are created and shaped in several stages, beginning with the drawing. Then, the plaster cast provides the basis for creating the mold that allows the foundry to cast the bronzes.

After the chiseling and shaping phases, the artist begins the delicate and final step of gradient silver plating. This artistic technique, the secret of which he alone knows, consists of applying gradient colored silver plating to the bronzes. A chemist, he fiercely protects his formulas, techniques, and knowledge. Thanks to this process, Michel Couqueberg revolutionizes the world of contemporary animal sculpture with his "Kookykrom" collection.

The artist creates bronzes with clean, elegant lines that express all the strength and beauty of animals. His artistic style and approach are part of a contemporary movement.

A perfectionist, he always strives for aesthetics and originality in both form and color. His works of art are the result of tireless work that has allowed him to bring his artistic inspirations to life. A sculptor of immense and renowned talent, Couqueberg has fulfilled numerous public and private commissions. He has created numerous monumental sculptures that adorn many cities and villages throughout France.

Michel Couqueberg is a bronze sculptor and an accomplished artist. A worthy successor to François Pompon, his talent was recognized by his peers, and he was awarded the Grand Prix Européen de l'Art Contemporain in 2019.

His contemporary animal bronzes are included in the collections of National Museums, including the Musée Pompon in Saulieu and the Musée des Beaux Arts in Beaune. Michel Couqueberg's animal works delight many collectors and art lovers in France and abroad.
